Owner, Personal Trainer, Class Instructor & Wellness Retreat Coach

In college I grew a love of nutrition and fitness. I started my journey in a ‘box’ gym atmosphere. This experience taught me to specialize in many different body types and goals. I soon stepped out of my comfort zone and started to teach Group Classes. I’ve now been training since 2012 and couldn’t imagine my life without my clients.

I am now a mother & always finding ways to keep my growing family active. I absolutely love teaching and helping others how to live healthier way of life. Experience and practice in various types of exercise and clientele, as well as excellent communication skills, allow me to provide first-rate training to individuals of all fitness levels. I approach my clients with their view point in mind, change can be exciting, motivating but most of all intimidating.

My passions include: traveling, hiking, camping, being a mommy, organizing, crafting & kayaking.

René Rangel

Hello, my name is Rene Rangel and I have been a personal trainer since 2016. I grew up playing sports but it wasn't until I found wrestling that I became truly dedicated to health and well-being. Giving me an opportunity to go to college where I studied Psychology. Having a passion for movement, health & well-being, paired up with psychology has helped me connect with my clients on a deep and personal level which leads to positive results.

After college I worked in mental health for several years and this helped me develop excellent communication skills, patience and understanding of others, and it led me to be able to understand people and their habits. Now as a personal trainer, I am able to meet people wherever they're at on their wellness journey and be a positive influence on them.

I specialize in mobility training, injury mitigation, and developing an awareness of the self (both physically and mentally). In recent years, after moving to Alaska, I dove into the sport of mountain running. We have a very active population here in Anchorage and many people specialize on mountain sports (running, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, etc.) so I have become very knowledgeable about what it takes to continue doing the activities that we love doing in a way that is enjoyable and will keep you out there longer.

A client who works with me can expect to be challenged both physically and mentally. I will teach you to become more aware of your body and your habits. I will teach you to be more in tune with yourself in a way that can improve your quality of life. I specialize on different areas of well-being and this is challenging but allows you to grow on many different levels so that you can be the best you, for yourself, and for others. I am a strong believer in the power of the mind and if you set a big goal and really want it and work for it, you can achieve it.

Ian Pelman

Hi, I'm Ian. Im a Husband, a Father to two and a Personal Trainer now for five years. I train my own body because it helps me improve, or simply become a better version of myself. I think this idea expands to my clients and through their training they also become better. Maybe they want to be better at: Push Ups, Pull Ups, Weight Lifting, Nutrition Education, Proprioception or Interoception (Meditative Practice). Whatever your fitness goal may be, I can probably help you achieve it.

I know that everybody is unique and because of this there may be differences in a personal approach to health and wellness. Whatever your situation may be, I am here to help you learn the skills and methods that can transform your body and give you more freedom in your day to day life. I had the benefit of a life full of sports and martial arts experience. As a result of these challenges I have a depth of knowledge concerning training methods and modalities that some personal trainers might not have any reference for. This in turn gives my clients access to more resources when we are programming for their specific goals or physical needs.

I believe in the power of the human mind to overcome obstacles and help us to do amazing things in the face of adversity. If you want to sign up as one of my clients, be prepared to work hard, but hard work is what it will take to make the world a better place for our kids and grandkids. If we can all be a better version of ourselves couldn't we make the world a better place?

Tanya Pipkin

I have had the privilege of growing up in a small village on the coast of Alaska. My family and I harvested from the land and the sea. As I watched my Elders carry out traditions throughout the seasons as well as assisting my family while commercial fishing, my passion began to develop. I saw what the power of movement can do as well as staying connected to the land. I want to help in reviving healing through movement for our communities. It is my calling in life to help people rediscover their strengths and reach their full potential through culture, health, wellness and physical fitness. I have spent a large portion of my life dedicated to sports, which has allowed me gain a vast amount of knowledge and experience as well as feed my passion. I competed in the NPC Crystal Cup bikini class here in Anchorage, Alaska in 2013. I have been a certified personal trainer since 2019 and will be graduating with my degree in Kinesiology in May of 2022. All of the experience that I have gained thus far has helped propel my desire to encourage, inspire and motivate people to live their best lives, discover the amazing benefits of movement and acquire the knowledge to help heal themselves.
